Cherry Glazed Cornish Game Hens

We recommend that this entree be served with the Valley of the Moon Pinot Noir.

Serves 4


4 Rock Cornish Game Hens
1 jar Bonne Maman Cherry Preserves (or any brand)
1 t cinnamon
1 t vanilla extract
Salt and black pepper to taste


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove gizzards from inside of hens. Season with salt and black pepper. Place hens in a steamer basket inside of saucepan. Fill with water to the bottom of hens. Steam for 30-45 min. depending on size. Place cherry preserves into a sauté pan. Heat until melted. Add the cinnamon and vanilla extract. Boil and remove from heat. Place the hens on a sheet pan. Brush the cherry glaze over the hens. Place in 350 degree oven for approx. 30 min. Garnish with snow peas and beets.
