Linda Kittler's culinary adventures began in her mother's kitchen on the family dairy farm in Massachusett's Berkshires at the age of eight. "It was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn from our garden, and cucumber salad," recalls Linda laughingly," and for dessert, I made gingerbread with whipped cream AND ice cream!"

Valley of the Moon Winery and Vineyards and Kenwood Vineyards are a long way from the Berkshires, and Linda herself has come a long way since then, and her passion for food and wine has blossomed. Responsible for the culinary programs at both the Valley of the Moon Winery in Glen Ellen, as well as Kenwood Vineyards, Linda's days are filled with the creation of new recipes, food and wine pairing, and the planning and execution of all entertaining, from the winery's casual picnics and crush lunches to formal receptions and elaborate dinner parties. She is also a regular contributor to Kenwood's and Valley of the Moon Winery's web sites with a monthly recipe, as well as to Kenwood Winery's quarterly international newsletter.

From experimenting in her family's kitchen, Linda went on, at the age of 14, to work in the kitchen of an East Coast hospital, where she says, she gained tremendous practical experience which has served her well throughout the years. Subsequently, during her college years at Loma Linda University in Southern California, Linda's love of all things culinary led her to become involved in catering.
