Valley of the Moon Winery nestles underneath the canopy of a 300-year-old bay tree along the shady banks of Sonoma Creek. The 19th-century stone building is surrounded by lush "old vine" Zinfandel vineyards in the scenic, picturesque Valley of the Moon in Glen Ellen, California.

The 60-acre estate blends elegantly-understated California Farm House architecture, its colors inspired by rich colors of the old vines surrounding it in autumn with the earthy hues of 19th-century old rock walls of the original winery building (c.1887) crafted by artisans of long ago.

Our driving visitors will approach Valley of the Moon via a parking lot that is creatively paved with loose quarry stones that glow golden in the sun. A short stroll through a grove of delicate maple trees and graceful olive trees, brings visitors to the huge castle-like double doors of the winery cellar. Juxtaposed to this very old world building is our elegant Mediterranean inspired tasting room.
